M365 - Multitenant collaboration option not available (Solved)
There’s a new feature in M365 called “Multitenant collaboration“ that makes it easier for IT Admins to…enable collaboration between tenants. This is particularly helpful when we have and holding and various companies with various tenants.
Creating a multitenant organization and synchronizing users between tenants provides a more seamless collaboration experience between the users in different tenants when searching for each other, using Microsoft Teams and meetings, and collaborating on files.
Now…to configure this feature (in preview) you need to follow this article:
Microsoft Learn - Set up a multitenant org in Microsoft 365 (Preview)
In the first steps, you may notice that you don’t have the “Multitenant collaboration (preview)“ option available. If this is the case, you first need to change all your tenants from Standard to Targeted release.
You can achieve this, by following these steps:
Then click on Settings > Org Settings > Organization Profile
Next, click on “Release preferences“
In the menu, select the option “Targeted release for everyone“ and “Save”
Now you need to wait “a while“ and next time, you’ll see the option “Multitenant collaboration (preview)“ available.
